Saskia Lavrijssen is a Professor at Tilburg University's Tilburg Law School and affiliated with the Tilburg Law and Economic Center (TILEC). Her work focuses on market regulation in energy, transport, and communications sectors, emphasizing sustainable development and consumer protection. She leads projects like VIA AUGUSTA (infrastructure systems) and MEGAMIND (data in energy systems).
Research Interests: Energy transition, regulatory frameworks, consumer vulnerability, EU energy policy, and governance. Key areas include balancing economic & security interests in energy investments, legal implications of AI in energy, and fair P2P energy trading systems.
Recent Publications (2024): Explore regulatory strategies for hydrogen markets, energy consumer vulnerability, and geopolitical aspects of semiconductor trade. Her work contributes to UN SDGs on clean energy and climate action.
