Saskia Boggs is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Wilmington College, where she has been since 2020. Her research focuses on minority adolescent identity development within school and neighborhood contexts, bridging developmental and community psychology. She holds a B.A. in Psychology from Kalamazoo College, an M.S. and Ph.D. in Developmental Psychology from Penn State, with a dissertation on Black students’ racial-academic identities and a master’s thesis on Latino adolescents’ acculturation and academic outcomes.
Her teaching experience includes courses like Research Methods, Introduction to Psychology, Identity & The Self, and Community Psychology at Wilmington College, Juniata College, and as a graduate instructor at Penn State. She is an active member of the Society for Research in Child Development and the Society for Research on Adolescence, contributing to publications on diversity, adolescent development, and community contexts. Outside academia, she engages in hobbies like hiking, board games, and crafting, including cheese-making and bread recipe development.
