Noelle Lopez is a Lecturer in the Department of Child & Adolescent Development at San Francisco State University (SFSU), part of the College of Health & Social Sciences. She also teaches Psychology at Diablo Valley College. Her academic background includes an M.A. in Experimental Psychology (specializing in Mind, Brain & Behavior) from SFSU, a B.S. in Psychology with Honors from Southern Oregon University, and an A.A. in Psychology from Diablo Valley College. Her research interests focus on developmental psychology, particularly how emotional information is processed across the lifespan.
Her publication record includes work on cognitive capabilities and positivity effects in Cognition (2020). She holds an academic honor for her undergraduate work. Lopez is passionate about returning to institutions where she was once a student, fostering a connection between education and community colleges.

Outside academia, Lopez enjoys visiting National Parks like Yellowstone and Pinnacles, and hiking.
