Sascha Ornig is a Doctoral Research Fellow at the Rosseland Centre for Solar Physics within the Faculty of Mathematics and Natural Sciences at the University of Oslo. His research focuses on Solar atmosphere dynamics, Transient phenomena (e.g., solar flares and coronal mass ejections), and observational techniques using both ground- and space-based instruments.
Education:
- BSc in Physics, Karl-Franzens University Graz (Thesis: Dependence of the Solar Cycle on the Northern and Southern Hemisphere)
- MSc in Physics, Karl-Franzens University Graz (Thesis: EUV Late Phase Flares as Observed by EVE and AIA Onboard the Solar Dynamics Observatory)
Research Interests:
- Structural and dynamic processes in the solar chromosphere and corona
- Multi-wavelength observations of solar eruptions
- Advancing observational methods for solar physics
Currently affiliated with the Rosseland Centre for Solar Physics, a leading institution in solar and stellar astrophysics.
