معرفی
Sascha Hoinka is a Lecturer at Swinburne University of Technology's School of Science, Computing and Emerging Technologies. He leads the Dysprosium Quantum Gas Laboratory, focusing on ultracold dysprosium atoms to study quantum gases with anisotropic magnetic properties, enabling research into superfluidity, quantum simulations, and precision measurements. His research spans many-body physics, fundamental theory testing, and quantum technologies applications like sensing and navigation.
Education includes an Apprenticeship in Industrial Electronics (1995), a Physics Diploma from Ludwig Maximilians University Munich (2006), and a PhD in Physics from Swinburne (2014). Employment history includes roles as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (2014–2016), ARC DECRA Research Fellow (2017–2019), Senior Research Fellow (2020–2023), and current Lecturer since 2024. He teaches Energy and Motion, Mathematical Methods, and Quantum Physics courses.
Research interests emphasize quantum gases, dipolar interactions, and advanced microscopy. Key publications explore Higgs oscillations, Fermi gas dynamics, and quantum anomalies. Active in grants such as the ARC CoE in Future Low-Energy Electronics (2023–2025) and Transport Dynamics in Unitary Fermi Gases (2021–2025).
Supervises PhD and MSc students in quantum gas experiments and lab development. Fluent in English and German, supporting international collaborations. Aligns with Sustainable Development Goals 7 (Clean Energy) and 9 (Infrastructure Innovation).
