Hui Hu is an Associate Professor at Swinburne University of Technology's School of Science, Computing and Emerging Technologies, where he serves as Deputy Director of the Centre for Quantum Technology Theory. His research focuses on ultracold quantum atomic gases and statistical mechanics, particularly topological superfluid states of spin-orbit coupled Fermi gases.
Education: PhD in Physics from Tsinghua University (2001), with postdoctoral positions at ICTP (Trieste) and Scuola Normale Superiore (Pisa).
Research interests include:
- Quantum liquids including strongly interacting Fermi gases and Bose-Einstein condensates
- Topological superfluid states
- Quantum many-body physics
- Ultracold atom dynamics
- Polaron physics
Publications demonstrate work in quantum phase transitions, polaron dynamics, and novel quantum states in condensed matter systems. Recent articles focus on spectral properties of Fermi polarons, unconventional superconductivity, and quantum droplet behaviors.

His research has contributed to demonstrations of universal thermodynamics and two-fluid hydrodynamics of strongly interacting fermions.
