Sascha Becker

Sascha Becker is a Lecturer at the Music and Arts Private University of the City of Vienna (Faculty of Performing Arts) since September 2017. He specializes in voice and speech training, stage and microphone speaking, and body-voice integration. His teaching career spans since 2010, with engagements at drama schools, workshops, and seminars focused on performance, phonetics, and artistic projects.

• Education: Diploma in Speech Training/Speaker from Stuttgart University of Music and Performing Arts; training in Linklater Method, microphone speaking, and contemporary performance techniques (Butoh, Authentic Movement, Contact Improvisation).

Research and Practice: Becker bridges vocal technique with performative expression, emphasizing holistic body-voice coordination, text design, and audience engagement. His work extends to stuttering therapy, media competence at the microphone, and cultural education collaborations.

Scientific Recognition: Nominated for the STELLA.Darstellende.Kunst Award (2015) for his production 'Die Wetterküche' targeting children's theater.

Artistic Engagements: Permanent member of Serapions Ensemble (Odeon Theater Vienna, 2014-2018) and Unicorn Art ensemble (since 2019); collaborator in international performance projects and educational formats for schools/theater festivals.
