Claudia Sendlinger is a University Professor of Speech at the Thomas Bernhard Institute of Mozarteum University in Vienna. She has been teaching speech training in acting at the Mozarteum University since 2015, and was appointed to her current professorship as of March 1, 2024.
Her educational background includes studies in German, English, and speech training in Regensburg, with internships at Columbia University and the Juilliard School in New York.
Professor Sendlinger specializes in speech training for actors, with research interests spanning vocal development, text work, German phonetics for singers, and gestural speech. Her work combines practical application with theoretical understanding of speech techniques, particularly focusing on the methods of Kristin Linklater.

Professor Sendlinger has extensive professional experience coaching actors at various German-speaking theaters in vocal development and text work since 2001. Her professional work has been featured at prestigious venues including Schauspiel Frankfurt, State Theaters in Nuremberg, Münster, Mannheim, Stuttgart, and Munich, Theater in der Josefstadt Vienna, Munich Volkstheater, Salzburg Festival (2017-2021), and Munich Kammerspiele.
