Susanne Litschauer is a Lecturer for Voice & Speech at the Thomas Bernhard Institute, Mozarteum University Salzburg, where she has taught since 2019. She specializes in the Linklater voice method, conducting seminars internationally since 2015. Her background includes professional dance and acting careers spanning the Vienna State Opera, Burgtheater Vienna, and Vienna Volksoper ensemble.
Education & Training:
- Diploma from Vienna State Opera Ballet School (1979)
- Advanced dance training at Academie de Danse classique (Monte Carlo) and Alvin Ailey School (New York)
- Acting training under Eva Heer and Barbara Lehner
- Feldenkrais Method certification (2002-2006)
- Authorized Linklater Voice Teacher certification (Orkney, Scotland 2015-2017)
Research Focus: Develops interdisciplinary approaches combining voice pedagogy, performance art, cultural anthropology, and movement studies. Co-founded FOXP2 collective (2018) creating experimental works integrating theater, dance, literature and sound design.
