Sasan Nouranian

Dr. Sasan Nouranian is an Associate Professor of Chemical Engineering and Associate Director for Research at the Center for Graphene Research and Innovation at the University of Mississippi. He received his Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University in 2011 and has published over 70 journal articles during his tenure at UM. His research focuses on graphene technologies, multifunctional polymer nanocomposites, computational materials science, and membrane fabrication for water filtration applications.

His educational background includes a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University (2011). His interdisciplinary work bridges chemical engineering, materials science, and nanotechnology.

Dr. Nouranian's research explores the development of advanced nanomaterials for applications ranging from infrastructure materials to biomedical devices. His work integrates experimental and computational approaches to design novel composites with tailored properties, emphasizing sustainability and functionality in materials engineering.

His recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on graphene-enhanced materials, multifunctional nanocomposites, and membrane technologies.
