Sarosh Shabi is a Senior Lecturer in Accounting and Finance at the School of Management, Swansea University. She holds a PhD in Finance from Southampton Business School and specializes in international financial markets with a focus on equities. Her research explores macro-financial relationships, economic uncertainty, financial crises, and nonlinearities in economic and financial time series.
As Deputy Director of the Finance Conversion Masters programmes, she teaches modules such as International Financial Markets, Corporate Finance, and Derivatives and Risk Management at both postgraduate and undergraduate levels. Her work has been published in top-tier journals including Journal of Banking and Finance and International Review of Financial Analysis.
A Fellow of the UK Higher Education Authority, Shabi collaborates actively in academic research and supervises PhD candidates focusing on topics like fintech adoption and sustainable development. Her research often addresses real-world financial challenges, including the impact of crises on markets and policy responses to economic uncertainty.
