Dr Jacoub Sleibi is a Lecturer in Finance at the Department of Accounting and Finance, School of Management, Swansea University (joined January 2025). He holds a PhD in Financial Economics from Newcastle University Business School, an MSc in Finance and Global Banking with Distinction from the University of Bradford School of Management, and a BSc in Computer Science from Bethlehem University.
- Expertise: Macro-Finance, Banking Shocks, Unconventional Monetary Policy, Applied Econometrics (panel data and time series)
- Teaching: Empirical finance and banking, covering Financial Markets, Global Banking, Corporate Finance, and Quantitative Methods
Research: Focuses on the endogenous correlation between finance and the real sector, propagation of banking shocks in financial markets, and co-movement in green energy stocks. His work has been published in the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money and the Journal of Financial Stability.
