Dr. Saria Hassan is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in General Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at Yale School of Medicine. She serves as Deputy Director of the Yale Transdisciplinary Collaborative Center (Yale-TCC) for Health Disparities in Precision Medicine and Director of the Pediatric Global Health Track. Her research focuses on implementation science, health disparities, and disaster-resilient healthcare systems in low-resource settings. She holds an MD from Harvard Medical School and a BSc from MIT.
Education: MD, Harvard Medical School (2006); BSc, MIT (2001). Board certifications in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics. Completed residency at Yale New Haven Hospital.
Research interests include non-communicable disease control in the Caribbean, disaster preparedness for Federally Qualified Health Centers, and pediatric obesity interventions. She leads the Eastern Caribbean Health Outcomes Research Network (ECHORN) and collaborates on global health initiatives in Tanzania and South Asia.
Notable awards include the Raymond Wong Fellowship (2010). Her work addresses systemic barriers in healthcare access and integrates climate change considerations into public health strategies.
