Research Interests focus on bioenergy production, nutrient upcycling from organic waste, biopolymer synthesis, and anti-infective development. His work emphasizes anaerobic digestion, black soldier fly larvae-based waste treatment, and pharmaceutical applications of microbial polymers.
Recent Publications analyze biochar catalysis, insect-driven bioremediation, seaweed-derived antimicrobials, and thermochemical waste valorization. These papers demonstrate interdisciplinary applications of waste streams across energy, environmental, and biomedical fields.
Collaborative activities include mentoring undergraduate researchers in the Higgins Lab and developing commercial biofertilizers and bioproducts through his start-up ENVIROHIL Solutions.
