Sarath Sanga is Professor of Law and Co-Director of the Yale Law School Center for the Study of Corporate Law at Yale University. He teaches core courses including Corporate Law, Contract Law, Arbitration, and Law and Economics. Previously, he held positions at Harvard, Stanford, Northwestern, University of Chicago, Columbia, and UC Berkeley.

His research investigates how contracts and governance structures shape organizational relationships and rules. Key areas include:

- Empirical analysis of legal institutions (policing, domestic violence, diversity)
Publications demonstrate strong empirical methodologies applied across corporate law, dispute resolution, and social justice. Recent works show increasing focus on AI/legal tech applications and structural reforms in governance.
As Co-Director of Yale's Corporate Law Center, he oversees research initiatives and policy analysis. SCALES represents a major interdisciplinary effort to increase judicial transparency through natural language processing of court documents.
