Dr. Sarahjane Jones is Associate Professor of Patient Safety and Associate Dean for Research & Innovation at Staffordshire University's School of Health and Social Care. She leads the Research into Safety Network (ReSNET) and directs postgraduate research programmes. Her research focuses on healthcare workforce retention's impact on patient safety, notably through the Health Foundation-funded NuRS and AmReS projects.
Her expertise spans patient/staff safety, data ethics, and research capacity building. She serves as Alternate Vice Chair of Edgbaston NHS Research Ethics Committee and holds Senior Fellow status with Advance HE.
Research Focus: Patient safety mechanisms, workforce dynamics in healthcare systems, big data applications, and ethical frameworks for healthcare analytics.
