Sarah Wirschke

Sarah Wirschke is a Researcher at the University of Freiburg's Institute for Empirical Cultural Studies, focusing on Urban Anthropology, Political Anthropology, and Museum Anthropology. She is affiliated with the Volkswagen Foundation-funded project 'KulturWissen vernetzt' (Cultural Knowledge Networks), investigating cooperative structures in cultural research, teaching, and knowledge transfer. Her work bridges ethnographic fieldwork with contemporary societal issues, including urban expansion, museum practices, and social movements.

She also investigates digital media's role in shaping political identities and cultural narratives.
