Sarah Valdez is Associate Professor at Linköping University's Institute for Analytical Sociology, focusing on ethnic segregation patterns and their societal impacts. Her research examines school segregation mechanisms, immigrant educational assimilation, and the relationship between ethnic contact and political attitudes.
Current projects investigate how residential segregation affects cultural capital transmission among second-generation immigrants and develop computational methods to analyze segregation dynamics.
