Sarah Sobieraj is a Professor of Sociology at Tufts University, where she has served as Chair of the Department of Sociology from 2021 to 2024. Her research focuses on media sociology, US political culture, extreme incivility, digital abuse and harassment, and the mediated information environment.

Hart Outstanding Book Award (2021). Additional recognitions include Tufts University's Teaching with Technology Award (2021) and Undergraduate Initiative in Teaching Award (2021).
