Dr. Sarah Shi Hui WONG is an Assistant Professor of Psychology at Singapore Management University (SMU), affiliated with the School of Social Sciences. Her research focuses on cognitive and educational psychology, particularly on strategies to enhance learning through errors and deliberate mistakes. She is known for her work on the 'derring effect,' which demonstrates how controlled error-making improves educational outcomes. Dr. Wong holds a PhD in Psychology from the National University of Singapore (2020), an MA in Music Psychology in Education from the University of Sheffield (2015), and a BSocSc (Hons) in Psychology from NUS (2013).
