Aidan WONG

Aidan WONG is a Full-time Assistant Professor of Urban Studies (Education) at the College of Integrative Studies, Singapore Management University (SMU), and an Urban Fellow at the SMU Urban Institute. His interdisciplinary work bridges economic geography with urban sustainability and social engagement.

Research focuses on:

• Urban waste management and circular economy
• Environmental citizenship and active citizenship
• Labour geographies (informal economy, gig economy, youth entrepreneurship)
• Urban heritage and cultural studies in Singapore

Courses taught include Big Questions, Urban Cultures, Singapore: Imagining the Next 50 Years, and Food Cultures. Strategic affiliations include SMU's Urban Institute and interdisciplinary initiatives in Sustainable Living and Growth in Asia.
