Sarah Schneider

Dr. Sarah Schneider is an Associate Professor in the Department of Pathology at the University of Georgia's College of Veterinary Medicine. She serves as the Assistant Director of the Athens Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory (AVDL), providing diagnostic services for Georgia veterinarians. Her roles include teaching veterinary residents and fourth-year students, alongside collaborative research initiatives.

Dr. Schneider earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (V.M.) from the University of Tennessee (2007) and a Ph.D. in Pathobiology from Texas A&M University (2019). She completed an anatomic pathology residency at Texas A&M in 2013 before joining Kansas State's state diagnostic lab. She joined the University of Georgia in 2021.

Her research focuses on Cardiopathology and Oral Pathology, integrating clinical diagnostics with academic contributions. She teaches courses such as the Diagnostic Pathology Rotation (as Course Coordinator), Systemic Pathology, and Histopathology Seminar.

Dr. Schneider leads diagnostic operations at the AVDL, emphasizing service, education, and research collaboration within veterinary medicine.
