Sarah Revitt-Mills is a Research Fellow at the Biomedicine Discovery Institute, Monash University. She holds a PhD in Molecular Microbiology from Monash University (2019), focusing on conjugative plasmids in Clostridium perfringens. Her postdoctoral research at the University of Wollongong utilized single-molecule imaging and experimental evolution to study bacterial DNA repair mechanisms' role in antibiotic resistance. Current research examines antimicrobial resistance and plasmid maintenance in Clostridia. Her work contributes to UN Sustainable Development Goals addressing health and environmental sustainability.
Research interests include plasmid biology, antibiotic resistance mechanisms, DNA repair systems, and spore-forming bacteria. Key collaborations involve Prof. Dena Lyras (Monash University) and Dr. Andrew Robinson (University of Wollongong). Over 10 peer-reviewed publications span journals like Journal of Medicinal Chemistry and Microbial Genomics.
No scientific awards explicitly listed. No advising/grant details provided. Active in Prof. Lyras' lab at Monash, focusing on Clostridium pathogenesis and plasmid transfer dynamics.
