Sarah Pyke is an MHRA Postdoctoral Research Associate at Anglia Ruskin University, Cambridge, where she contributes to the three-volume Cambridge History of Children’s Literature in English. Her research focuses on gendering the child in twentieth- and twenty-first-century literature, LGBTQ+ adults’ memories of childhood reading, and literary reception studies.
She holds a PhD from the University of Roehampton (2020), funded by the AHRC as part of the Memories of Fiction project. Her interdisciplinary work bridges critical and creative approaches to children’s literature, with publications in Reception: Texts, Readers, Audiences, English: The Journal of the English Association, and International Research in Children’s Literature.
