معرفی
Sarah Partan is an Associate Professor of Animal Behavior at Hampshire College, located within the School of Cognitive Science. Her primary research focuses on understanding how animals integrate audio and visual signals in communication, emphasizing multisensory interactions across sensory channels. She employs innovative methods including field observations, video playbacks, and robotic animal models to study behavioral responses.
Dr. Partan holds a Ph.D. in Animal Behavior from the University of California, Davis, and a B.A. from Wesleyan University. Her work bridges organismic biology and evolutionary principles, contributing to broader insights into animal communication systems.
She maintains an office in Adele Simmons Hall (ASH 131) and a lab space in ASH 207 at Hampshire College. While her primary affiliation is with Hampshire, she also collaborates with the Organismic & Evolutionary Biology (OEB) program at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where her office is located at 203 French Hall.
