Sarah Naylor is a Senior Lecturer in Diagnostic Imaging at Sheffield Hallam University. She holds a Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy and has been a member of the Society and College of Radiographers (SOR) since 1985. Her clinical background includes advanced practice in bladder pressure studies, lithotripsy, breast screening, and core biopsy, alongside multidisciplinary case review involvement.
Her teaching spans National Vocational Qualifications (NVQs) to doctoral-level education, including the BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography program and the Doctorate in Professional Studies. Her research focuses on diagnostic radiography education, simulation-based learning, and service user engagement. Notable projects include exploring newly qualified radiographers’ experiences and optimizing surgical theatre workflows through action research.
Dr. Naylor also serves as an external examiner for the University of Salford. Her academic contributions include peer-reviewed publications on breast screening techniques, medical imaging modalities, and clinical practice innovations.
