Sarah Miller serves as a Co-Principal Investigator (Co-PI) on an RSF-funded project examining the integration of immigrant adults who entered as unaccompanied minors. She holds an adjunct professorship at ISIM and convenes a refugee protection course for the University of London. Her roles include Senior Fellow at Refugees International, focusing on the Great Lakes and Horn of Africa regions, and global refugee regime governance. She has consulted for UNHCR, the ILO, World Bank, IRC, Mercy Corps, and contributed to displacement-related projects at USAID and the U.S. Department of State as a Franklin Fellow.
Dr. Miller's education includes a doctorate in International Relations from the University of Oxford (2014), a Master of Science in Forced Migration (Oxford), a Master of Arts in Social Sciences from the University of Chicago, and a Bachelor of Arts in History, Spanish, and International Service from Valparaiso University.
Her research focuses on forced migration, refugee policies, and humanitarian governance, with a regional emphasis on Africa, the Middle East, Latin America, and Asia. Her work bridges academic analysis, policy advocacy, and field-level interventions in displacement crises.
