Senior Lecturer Sarah Meiklejohn serves as an Interprofessional Education and Regulation leader in the Office of the Deputy Dean (Education Portfolio) within the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences at Monash University. She concurrently holds a Senior Research Fellow position in the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Monash University and works as a Medical Research Officer at Monash Doctors Education, Monash Health.
Her academic qualifications include a PhD in Implementation of the health promoting schools framework - a policy analysis (Monash University, 2019), a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (Honours) (2013), and a Bachelor of Nutrition and Dietetics (2007).
Meiklejohn's research centers on interprofessional education, accreditation systems, and policy analysis within health professions education. She investigates how regulatory frameworks shape collaborative practice readiness among healthcare graduates, with particular focus on competency-based assessment models and the impact of accreditation standards on educational systems. Her work bridges theoretical policy analysis with practical implementation challenges in Australian healthcare education.
Her publication trajectory reveals strong thematic continuity in health professions education research, with increasing emphasis on accreditation as a driver for systemic change. Recent works demonstrate sophisticated methodological approaches including Yanow's interpretive policy analysis and longitudinal audio diaries to examine the enactment of accreditation standards and development of collaborative practitioners.

She contributes to the FMNHS Collaborative Care Curriculum Subcommittee and serves on the steering group for the Australasian Interprofessional Practice Educators Network (AIPPEN).
As an Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD), she integrates clinical expertise with educational leadership in her role within Monash University's Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences and maintains active involvement in the Australian and New Zealand Association for Health Professional Educators (ANZAHPE) since 2019.
