Sarah-Mace Dennis is a Senior Lecturer in Digital Content Creation at Ravensbourne University London (part-time) and a multi-disciplinary artist, filmmaker, and educator. Her work bridges creative industries, academia, and community engagement, focusing on public art, digital storytelling, and interdisciplinary collaboration. She holds an MA in Film, Media, and Theatre from UNSW and a BA (Hons) in Creative Arts from Griffith University. Her research explores embodied thinking, AI ethics, and accessibility in creative practices, stemming from her experience with traumatic brain injury in 2008.
She has directed short films and documentaries for HSBC, UK Border Force, and the Crafts Council, while her public art commissions include installations for football stadiums and cultural spaces. Her academic roles span Ravensbourne, University of East London, and institutions in Australia, where she teaches creative research, design futures, and art direction.
Key awards include the ArtsHub Awards (Emerging Artist, 2012) and Resolution Festival Dance Writing Program (2022). Her publications include contributions to the Routledge Companion to Medicine and Performance (2024) and Dance Magazine (2021). She actively explores AI’s role in art and advocates for inclusive creative practices through workshops and residencies.
Major projects include Everyday Stories of Colossal Importance (2015), Defy the Norm (HSBC, 2022), and collaborations with organizations like Manchester International Festival. Her exhibitions span venues in Australia, Norway, and the UK, emphasizing dialogue between art, technology, and community.
