Dr Sarah Hudspith is Associate Professor in Russian at the School of Languages, Cultures and Societies, University of Leeds, where she has been a faculty member since 2000. She was promoted to Associate Professor in 2014 and currently serves as Director of German, Russian and Slavonic Studies and Co-Director of the Centre for World Literatures.

She explores themes of globality, literary humour, gender, and women’s writing, contributing significantly to both Russian and comparative literary studies. Her work bridges historical depth with contemporary theoretical frameworks.
