Sarah Eiden is a Researcher at the Institute of Educational Science within the Faculty of Philosophy and Education at Ruhr University Bochum since January 2023. Her work focuses on educational equity, parent-teacher collaboration, and evidence-based school development in challenging environments. Prior roles include research positions at the University of Duisburg-Essen's Educational Research Group (2022), the NRW Center for Talent Development (2017–2021), and the "Developing Potential – Strengthening Schools" project (2014–2017).
Education: Graduated with a degree in social sciences from the University of Duisburg-Essen (2012). Current research project: Reducing educational barriers through needs-based resource management (ABBAUBAR), funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research.
Research interests emphasize understanding systemic barriers in educational collaborations, teacher expectations of parental engagement, and strategies for school improvement in disadvantaged contexts. Her work combines empirical studies with practical implementation frameworks.
Key contributions include analyzing parent-teacher cooperation dynamics in socioeconomically disadvantaged schools, presented at ECER (2015–2016), ICSEI (2016), and the German Society for Educational Science (2016).
