Sarah Castle is an Assistant Professor of Mathematics Education at the University of Idaho's Department of Mathematics and Statistical Sciences, with an affiliation to the College of Education, Health and Human Sciences. She holds a Ph.D. (2023) and M.S. (2022) in Mathematics Education and Mathematics from Michigan State University, alongside dual bachelor's degrees in Engineering Physics and Mathematics from Whitworth University (2016).
Her research focuses on two core themes: 1) Using computation to uncover and address systemic inequities in undergraduate STEM education, and 2) Leveraging computational environments to foster mathematical creativity among marginalized students.
