Sarah Blissett is a Lecturer in Drama at the University of Plymouth’s School of Art, Design and Architecture, part of the Faculty of Arts, Humanities and Business. Her research focuses on site-specific practices engaging with ocean ecologies and climate crisis, particularly through intertidal environments and multispecies communities. She explores algae/seaweed in performance and co-directs SOAK Live Art CIC, a platform for multidisciplinary South West artists.
Teaching areas include Site-Specific Performance, Theatre & Performance Ecology, Dramaturgy, Feminist Performance, and Immersive Multimedia Performance. Recent projects include Alluvial Matters (2024), Marking Tidetime (2022–present), and collaborations like Kelp Curing in Norway (2019). She guest-edits the upcoming CSPA Quarterly on ‘Intertidal Encounters’ (Jan 2025).
Advising interests include reparative social-ecological practices, feminist performance, and contemporary live art. No awards are explicitly listed, but her work is highlighted through curated exhibitions and artistic research initiatives.
