Sarah Berry

Professor Sarah Berry serves as Professor of Nutritional Sciences at King's College London within the School of Life Course & Population Sciences, Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine. With a research career spanning since 2000 at King's, she has established herself as a leading expert in precision nutrition and cardiovascular health research.

Her research program focuses on how dietary components influence cardiovascular disease risk markers, with particular expertise in precision nutrition, postprandial metabolism, and food/fat structure effects. Dr. Berry has led over 35 human nutrition studies in cardio-metabolic health and serves as the lead nutritional scientist for the PREDICT programme, which assesses metabolic responses to food in more than 20,000 individuals across the UK and US.

Recent publications reveal her work spans from digital health tools for menopause assessment to investigations of gut microbiome interactions with diet, interesterified fats metabolism, and food processing techniques that enhance nutrient bioavailability. Her research consistently bridges laboratory science with large-scale population studies through innovative app-based platforms like the ZOE Health Study App.
