Sara Zenoni is an Associate Professor in the Department of Biotechnology at the University of Verona, specializing in Agricultural Genetics (AGRI-06/A). Her academic work focuses on plant sciences with particular expertise in grapevine genetics and biotechnology.
Her research interests span Applied genetics, gene editing and transgenic organisms; Applied plant sciences, plant breeding, agroecology and soil biology; and Viticulture and Enology. Dr. Zenoni leads research in agricultural genetics with emphasis on molecular approaches to grapevine improvement and sustainable viticulture practices.
She serves on multiple departmental committees including the Biotechnology Departmental Council, Faculty-Student Joint Committee, and various Teaching Boards for biotechnology and viticulture programs. Her laboratory work contributes to understanding grapevine development, berry ripening, and responses to environmental stresses.
