Sara Stoudt is an Assistant Professor at Bucknell University in the Mathematics Department. She earned her PhD in Statistics from the University of California, Berkeley, where she was advised by William Fithian and Perry de Valpine, and worked as a Berkeley Institute for Data Science Fellow. Her research bridges ecological applications of statistics and statistical communication, with a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration and data science education.
Her work includes co-authoring the book Communicating with Data: The Art of Writing for Data Science and contributing to the Data Science by Design anthologies. She has taught writing for statistics at Berkeley and previously studied Mathematics with an emphasis on Statistics at Smith College.
