معرفی
Sara Rainieri is a full Professor in Applied Physics at the Department of Engineering and Architecture, Faculty of Engineering, University of Parma. She has held significant academic and administrative roles, including serving as Pro-Rector for Teaching and Student Affairs since November 2017. Her teaching spans multiple disciplines including Mechanical Engineering, Food Science and Technology, Civil and Environmental Engineering, and Architecture.
Her research interests are centered on heat transfer enhancement, particularly in complex fluid systems relevant to the food industry. She also investigates inverse heat conduction problems, energy analysis of integrated systems, and sustainable energy technologies. Her work bridges theoretical, computational, and experimental approaches in thermo-fluid dynamics.
The recent publications (2024–2025) reflect a strong interdisciplinary focus, combining food processing technologies, sensor development, and thermal system optimization. Key themes include non-thermal food preservation methods, real-time quality monitoring, and computational modeling for heat transfer enhancement.
Scientific Awards:
- Honourable Mention, EUROTHERM Young Scientist Prize and Awards 2000
She has coordinated national research projects funded by the Italian Ministry and serves as Associate Editor for the ASME Journal of Heat Transfer. She has supervised numerous students and is an active reviewer for international scientific journals. Her leadership extends to academic governance through her Pro-Rector role.
Her research is conducted within the Department of Engineering and Architecture at the University of Parma, where she leads or contributes to research groups focused on thermal systems, energy efficiency, and food process engineering. Collaborative projects involve both experimental and computational teams across engineering disciplines.
