Sara Prieto García-Cañedo

Sara Prieto García-Cañedo is an Associate Professor at the Department of English Philology within the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at the University of Alicante. She is also a member of the Research Institute for Gender Studies and the THALiS research group.

Her research primarily explores literary journalism during the First World War and travel writing in English, intersecting with contemporary discourses on gender, politics, and conflict. She has led the AWESOME project and collaborated with TRANSLIT and THALiS research groups.

Notable contributions include leadership roles as President of ASYRAS, Secretary of the International Society for First World War Studies, and adjunct editor of Feminismo/s. Her academic career spans teaching appointments at SUNY, Universidad Católica de Murcia, and visiting scholarships at the University of Cambridge and Harvard’s Schlesinger Library.
