Sara Omar is Assistant Professor and Director of Undergraduate Studies in Arabic and Islamic Studies at Georgetown University. Her research examines Islamic legal discourses on gender and sexuality using historical genealogical methods.
She received a Ph.D. from Harvard University and completed postdoctoral work at Yale's MacMillan Center.
