Dr. Sara Mannen is a Research Fellow in Systematic Theology at the University of Aberdeen's School of Divinity, History, Philosophy & Art History. She holds a PhD from the same institution (2019–2023), where she examined Karl Barth's concept of divine personhood through the Pantheism Controversy. Her current project, funded by the McDonald-Agape Foundation, explores divine personhood's implications for ecclesiology. She also serves as Book Review Editor for the Journal of Reformed Theology.
Education: PhD in Theology (University of Aberdeen, 2023), MA in Theological Studies (Multnomah University, 2018), BS in Biblical and Theological Studies (Multnomah University, 2003). Her research integrates Barthian theology with historical traditions, addressing modern ecclesiological challenges.
Research Interests: Modern systematic theology, trinitarian theology, Karl Barth, divine personhood, church tradition's continuity, and theology's practical implications for the church.
Awards: McDonald-Agape Research Fellowship (2020–present).
