Sara Harris is a **Teaching Professor** in the **Department of Earth, Ocean and Atmospheric Sciences** at the **University of British Columbia (UBC)**, affiliated with the **Faculty of Science**. She has held academic roles since 2005, including Associate Dean Academic (2017–2022) and Senior Instructor. Her research focuses on **science education**, particularly **climate science education**, and she has developed a free online course (*Climate Change: The Science*) and authored/co-authored textbooks like *Understanding Climate Change: Science, Policy and Practice* (2021). Her work emphasizes improving student engagement and equity in STEM education through innovative teaching methods and curriculum design.
