Professor Sara Fovargue is a Professor of Law at the School of Law, University of Sheffield, where she joined in January 2022. She serves as Director of Academic Staff Development and Deputy Chair of the University Research Ethics Committee, with prior professorships at Lancaster University and teaching roles at Manchester and Newcastle.

Professor Fovargue's research centers on health law and ethics, specializing in consent and capacity, decision-making for vulnerable populations, and emerging biotechnologies like xenotransplantation. She integrates bioethical frameworks to address conscientious objection and regulatory challenges in healthcare systems.
