Sara Dahill-Brown is an Associate Professor in the Department of Politics & International Affairs at Wake Forest University. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Sociology from Trinity University, and both an M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Her research focuses on American educational politics and policy, emphasizing state-level governance, policy implementation, equity, and state-local dynamics. She has authored a seminal book, Education, Equity, and the States: How Variations in State Governance Make or Break Reform (2019), and has contributed to peer-reviewed journals and policy analyses. Her work explores how state policies affect educational equity, particularly in rural contexts and during crises like the COVID-19 pandemic.
