Sara Björklund is a Researcher and Doctoral Student at the Faculty of Health Science, Kristianstad University, specializing in Emergency Nursing and Person-Centered Care. Her work focuses on addressing health disparities in stigmatized neighborhoods, aligning with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 3 and SDG 10). She is affiliated with the Patient Reported Outcomes - Clinical Assessment Research and Education (PROCARE) unit and contributes to projects enhancing ethical practices in prehospital emergency care.
Her research explores the intersection of social stigma, health equity, and ethical healthcare delivery, emphasizing systemic barriers in healthcare access and person-centered interventions. Recent publications analyze ambulance staff perceptions and ethical frameworks in marginalized communities.
