Staffan Hammarbäck is a doctoral student in Caring Science at the Department of Health and Care Sciences at Linnaeus University. He combines his academic work with a part-time role (50%) as a specialist nurse in ambulance care in Region Sörmland, where he also serves as the main instructor for suicide prevention training.
Research Interests: Hammarbäck's research focuses on the intersection of ambulance care and mental health, particularly the ethical and practical dimensions of encounters with patients in suicidal processes. His work explores clinical responsibility, existential support, and patient-nurse communication in emergency settings.
