Sara Birk is a Professor and Interim Director in the Department of Dance and Theatre Arts at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, holding the Coca-Cola/BORSF Endowed Professorship in Performing Arts.
Her educational background includes:

- MFA in Acting from the University of Montana
Professor Birk's research and creative practice centers on Theatre, Acting, Directing, Theatre History, Voice Training, and Play Analysis. She actively bridges academic scholarship with professional performance, maintaining an active creative practice alongside teaching responsibilities.
