Carl Granieri

Carl Granieri is an Associate Professor and Program Coordinator for Directing and Devised work in the School of Music and Performing Arts at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. His academic career is deeply rooted in both scholarly and professional theatrical practice, with extensive experience in acting, directing, and theatre education. He has received numerous accolades including the prestigious Coca-Cola BORSF Endowed Professorship in Performing Arts (2024) and nomination for the Ray P. Authement Eminent Faculty Award.

Granieri's research and creative work focuses on Devised Theatre, Ritual Theatre, Mythopoesis, Performative Politics, and Theatre for Social Justice.
