Sara Azzali is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematics, University of Bari Aldo Moro. Her research lies at the intersection of geometry, topology, and operator algebras, with a focus on K-theory, spectral invariants, and noncommutative geometry.
- Current research areas include applications of K-homology to braid groups, spectral zeta-invariants, and the Baum-Connes conjecture
- Active in teaching geometry and discrete mathematics, with recent courses in 2024/2025 academic year
- Collaborates with prominent mathematicians including Sylvie Paycha and Georges Skandalis
Her publications span topics from L2-index theorems to rho invariants in noncommutative geometry. She offers office hours Thursday afternoons in room 16, Department of Mathematics, or via videoconferencing.
