Sara Ann Shaw

Sara Ann Shaw is a Lecturer in the Department of Educational Leadership and Higher Education at the University of Central Florida's College of Community Innovation and Education. She holds a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, specializing in Career, Technical, and Postsecondary Education.

Her research focuses on female leadership in higher education, challenges in Career and Technical Education (CTE), and advancing equity/diversity initiatives in CTE programs. Key interests include identity's role in career decision-making for female leaders, empathy development in teacher preparation, and leveraging web technologies for CTE research.

Dr. Shaw previously served as Co-Director of UNLV's Rebel Academy and Program Manager for Nevada's Institute on Teaching and Educator Preparation. She was recognized as a 2019 Postsecondary Research Fellow through the ECMC Foundation.
