Saphia Doumenc

Saphia Doumenc holds a Doctorate in Political Science from Lumière Lyon 2 University (defended April 2022) and is currently a Post-doctoral Fellow at the Institute for Economic and Social Research (IRES). Her research focuses on labor conflicts, trade unionism, and social inequalities, particularly among working-class populations. She has conducted fieldwork on female cleaning workers in Lyon and Marseille, analyzing their union engagement and political mobilization.

• Teaching: Teaches courses on sociology of care, political sociology of unionism, and work-gender intersections at Université Lyon 2 and other institutions.
